Grief During the Holiday
In the holiday season, grief over the loss of our loved ones is always more intense. And even when we are not grieving any longer, the holidays remind us of the value and the blessings of our family and friends,which will naturally bring up the feelings of the great loss that we have experienced for those who are not with us anymore! Of course those feelings are normal and we should allow ourselves to express and feel them fully.
And although we can no longer see them, touch them, or hear their voices, these people that we loved so dearly are very much alive, and in peace, and most of all, very much with us! They are with us when we shop for presents, (and when we return them), when we travel to meet everyone, when we cook the family’s favorite food, when we open the presents, and most of all they are right there, around the dinner table when we are all together with one another!
Our departed loved ones in the spirit world, want SO much to see us happy, and joyful. They want to hear us discuss the good times and the happy and fun memories that we have experienced with them when they were here! They want us to discuss their LIFE on Earth, NOT their death! They want us so desperately to know that they are very much alive, and that one day, when it is time for us to leave this world, they will be there to greet us and welcome us back home.
Know it to be so!
