Ego Alert: PLAYFULNESS

EGO’S COMMON THINKING:

There is no time. Life is too busy. It’s not important. I don’t have money. I have to make money first. I am alone. I can not have fun by myself.

SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE:

In life, playfulness is a necessity; NOT a luxury! Playfulness is crucial to our spiritual, mental, and emotional well being. Playfulness is a spiritual concept that must be authentically understood and honored!

When we play, we engage in fun positive activities that bring us joy, make us laugh, and relax us. We take the attention away from our mind’s stream of thoughts, worries, and concerns. It is a way of disciplining the Ego!

Playfulness allows our inner joyful energy to shine through.

Playful activities are compatible with the beautiful nature of our soul!

The Ego’s most common excuse, that there is no time, is an illusion! If your daily routine is well balanced and effectively organized, there is ALWAYS time to achieve everything. The things that you must do, and even more importantly, the things that you enjoy doing!

There are all kinds of playful activities that have different effects on us, however they are all equally important. And so it is best to mix and match them.Playing in nature helps us absorb Mother Earth’s healing energies. So go to the beach and play in the sand, swim in the ocean. Go camping at a lake, in a forest, in the desert. Observe and interact with animals. Hug a tree!

Expressing yourself with creativity is also a very therapeutic type of playfulness. Build something, draw, paint, write, sing, learn how to play a musical instrument, enroll in an art class…

And finally, relaxing by yourself, watching TV, sleeping- in, taking an afternoon nap, and of course meditating are also a form of playfulness that allows us to rest the physical body and recharge our energy field.

So put playfulness as a priority in your life. Do it with your loved ones, with your pets, by yourself!

Have fun ?
XO
Miki
