“WOULD YOU KNOW MY NAME IF I SAW YOU IN HEAVEN…?”
This question, that is a part of the lyrics from a song written and performed by Eric Clapton, is a common question that I am often asked by people in readings over the years.
A woman came to see me. She lost her only son at the age of nineteen to a tragic car crash. She wanted to know if when she dies, will she meet her son? Will he recognize her as his mom. She wanted to know if her son in spirit is still her son…?
My answer for her was that yes, she will meet her son when she crosses over. Yes, he will recognize her when they meet, and no, in spirit he is NOT her son and she is NOT the mom.
In the spirit world, those two souls have agreed to incarnate together and played a roll of a mother and a son in order to contribute to the blueprint of the incarnation, the pre-designed plan of both souls.
My client’s son on Earth was part of the agreement, or the contract, that her soul and his soul created and decided to incarnate into that lifetime as a mother and a son. The agreement was mutual, and was based on certain challenges, lessons, experiences, or balance of Karma that BOTH souls needed in order to grow, and the roles of mother and son was the best way for the souls to achieve that.
When we die, when we cross over to the spirit world, we meet all the people that we have lost. We will recognize them and they will recognize us. In that meeting, regardless of the relationship that we had with them in life. This is regardless of the challenges, the misunderstandings, the disagreements, the love, or lack of love; the souls will share the immense love and appreciation we have for one another, in relation to the contribution each makes to the soul’s growth. Any negative characteristics from the incarnation will fall away at crossing and give way to an immense love that will be shared by the souls. Pure love. A love without boundaries, without ego, and without limitation.
A divine love!
