Ego Alert: Parenting
The Ego’s common thinking: It’s so hard, I feel alone, I know what is best for my kids, he/she should be different, If only they would/If only I could…, He/She is a disappointment to me.
Spiritual perspective: Your kids are not your kids; you brought them into this world, but they are not yours per-say. They are their own souls with their own journey to accomplish. You and your kids have a “soul contract” prior to entering planet Earth, to experience life together as children and parents in order to spiritually grow and advance your soul awareness.
When your kids are young, you should of course protect and guide them, however, when they are adults, you should NEVER try to manipulate or influence your own opinion and preference as to what you want them to be or become, but rather observe the path that they are creating for themselves, and support it fully!
Even if you foresee that the choices or decisions that your kids are making might cause them extra challenges, pain, and even suffering, understating the spiritual concept that your kids are here to grow in their own ways and their own pace, will help you express your opinion and then allow them to choose their own path.
According to the Archangel Michael, If you are a parent on planet Earth you are HEROIC, because not only do you have to accomplish your own journey on this difficult harsh planet, but you also agreed to assisting another soul to accomplish their journey.
